The Ceará Martial Arts Congress was a unique opportunity for sports enthusiasts to come together and share knowledge and techniques. It was also an opportunity to celebrate the history and legacy of martial arts in the state, especially the initiation of contact sports.
We would like to thank all the teachers who dedicated their time and knowledge to share their skills and experiences with the participants. Their commitment and passion were fundamental to the success of the event.

World highlight in Contact Fights, Evilázio Feitoza promotes Congress in Fortaleza
Ceará is also a world highlight in the Muay-Thai modality. After much dedication and acquired experience, Grand Master Evilázio Feitoza has, over more than 40 years, practice in different modalities, such as Karate, Boxing, Kung-fu, Kickboxing, Savate, French Boxing, Brazilian Jiu-jitsu, and several modalities of physical training, besides, of course, Muay-Thai.
Born in the city of Sobral, Evilázio Feitoza has been in the rings, mats and octagons around the world, training high-performance athletes in various modalities. Currently, the Grão Mestre – the highest ranking achieved in the sport of martial arts -, who developed the Brazilian Thai-Boxing System, is considered one of the most important names in Brazil and in the world when it comes to Muay Thai, Kickboxing and MMA, and also is one of the biggest names in ISKA (International Sport Kickboxing Association).
In October, the coach will be in Fortaleza to carry out the 1st Ceará Congress of Technical Training in Contact Fights, where the greatest leaders of the martial arts in Ceará will be present. They will be sharing their knowledge with participants and lovers of martial arts. On the occasion, Evilázio will also be celebrating the 36th anniversary of the introduction of contact fights in the State of Ceará, through Fighter Sport, current Evilazio Fight Team.

One of the main icons of kickboxing and anything goes in the Northeast, Evilázio Feitoza is the guest of this edition of RESENHA PVT. Master of names like Thiago Pitbull, Assuerio Silva, Neto Barruada and Paulo Guerreiro, the coach recalled the beginnings of kickboxing and Vale Tudo in the northeast and recalled stories with Marcelo Behring (his former partner when he migrated to São Paulo in the late 70s) and Jorge Patino Macaco, who was in the corner in his first Vale Tudo fights.

Grand Master of Martial Arts, Evilazio Feitoza is nominated for Hall of Fame
Considered the great precursor of martial arts in the state of Ceará, Grand Master Evilazio Feitoza had his great work recognized by the Hall of Fame of the modality (USA Unified Martial Arts Hall of Fame), being nominated for the 2022 edition in the category of pioneer of Brazilian Thai boxing. Aged 58, the athlete from the city of Sobral, has over 40 years of practice in different models of the sport in his career, having trained different high performance athletes around the globe.
With his experience acquired over all these years, the Grand Master, the highest ranking acquired in the sport, developed the Brazilian Thai-Boxing System, which teaches martial arts practitioners different forms of attack and defense, with a strengthening of the part physical and mental. At the moment, the system has representatives in Spain, USA, Japan and many states in Brazil.
Currently, Evilazio, who lives in the state of New York, in the United States, is one of the most important names in Brazilian MMA, being one of the founders of the CBM (Confederação do Brasil de Muay-Thai) and president of the CKBB (Confederação de Kickboxing do Brasil) ).
Appointment Regarding the nomination to the Hall of Fame, the Grand Master explains that the whole matter took place naturally due to his work done over the last few decades. “Talking about the Hall of Fame is gratifying, but the process was very natural; over these years I’ve been developing a work in martial arts, I have some athletes who participated in various events, from the UFC to the old Pride, so this serves as an analysis of the work developed” declared Evilazio Feitoza.
In addition, Evilazio Feitosa highlighted his happiness with what happened, highlighting his work done in Brazil and in the state of Ceará. “I’m very happy and our state only wins with this, because we’ve been developing this work for over 30 years with Fighter Sport; we are spread out in Fortaleza and the interior of Ceará, our work is progressing and I believe that all of this can generate a much greater impulse”, highlighted the Grand Master.

Admittedly regarded as one of the leading exponents of the martial arts and having had the opportunity to be the Head Coach of Fighter Sport for decades, the Grand Master Evilázio Feitoza launches for yet another challenge. This time the destination is the city of Pearland, Texas. With the rapid growth of Jiu-Jitsu and Muay Thai around the world in recent years, consequently the creation of new teams, the demand for renowned teachers and instructors has increased. “I had been receiving invitations to return to teaching outside of Brazil for some time, until at the end of 2020, talking to a friend who lives in this city, he invited me to spend some time and get to know the facilities of this project, get to know it up close the work that they had been doing. So after seeing a new teaching methodology up close, with programs to meet the needs of each student and the professionalism of leading these trainings in a professional way was decisive for me to decide to move to Texas. ” says Evilázio.
It is worth mentioning that the Grapplin Zone also becomes another arm of Brazil abroad. There are several athletes who migrate to the country in search of opportunities and good professionals to carry out their training, and once again Evilázio Feitoza makes this bridge between the sport, the practitioner and the expertise in training.

Evento é organizada pelo grupo Evilazio Fight Team no sábado (12)
O Aterro da Praia de Iracema, em Fortaleza, recebe um aulão gratuito de Muay Thai neste sábado (12) a partir das 17h. A atividade é organizada pelo grupo Evilazio Fight Team, comandado pelo grão-mestre Evilazio Feitoza.
“É muito importante fazer esse tipo de treino, no qual os alunos podem interagir com a natureza e essa paisagem. Você relaxa, apesar de estar acostumado com aquele treino de academia, ao ar livre o aluno se sente ainda mais a vontade, toma uma água de coco depois”, declarou.
O professor também cita os principais benefícios que o treino pode proporcionar. “O Muay Thai é um esporte aeróbico. Ele melhora sua função cardiovascular, o estresse diminui com os treinos de manopla e no saco e deixa o praticante mais disposto”, completou.
O evento irá contar com a presença dos professores Neto Barruada, Marcos China e Márcio Valente, além das respectivas academias. Com o crescimento do público feminino no esporte, a organização aguarda a presença de mulheres na prática.
Vale ressaltar que uma série de protocolos contra Covid-19 foram planejados para evitar maior disseminação do novo coronavírus durante a pandemia.
